I am a practicing Lactation Consultant, with current IBCLC certification and background of a qualified physician (Medical Doctor). I have a passion for working with mothers perinatally since having become a mother of two. Leaving medicine to raise my children then further sparked my interest in learning and understanding breastfeeding.

I have been certified as an IBCLC (International Board-Certified Lactation Consultant) since early 2023. My experience in participating in breastfeeding support started in 2017, both in a volunteer role in Breastfeeding Support Organisations and during my studies toward certification.

After completing my medical degree from Airlangga University Medical School in Surabaya Indonesia, I earned my Master of Health Management from the University of New South Wales, Sydney. I have passed my AMC (Australian Medical Council Exam) part 1 with a plan to progress with future qualifications.

I provide overall lactation support, with special interests in:
- Oral and tie assessment related to infant feeding and breastfeeding, also support pre and post tie-release.
- Antenatal breastfeeding preparation.
- Support CALD (Culturally and Linguistically Diverse) mothers - starting motherhood away from family.
- Support Neurodivergent mothers - with changes/adjustment into motherhood.
- Support in breastfeeding with Post Natal Anxiety/ Depression.
- Counselling support in breastfeeding and raising a family from an Islamic perspective.

Consultation Fee List is following the scheduled booking (duration based on your chosen option, up to: 30 minutes, or 60 minutes, or 90-100 minutes consultation).

Your Consultation Fee is based on the total length/duration* of your consultation on the day. In a case when your total consultation time exceeds the booked schedule (length depending on your needs at the appointment), you may be charged an overtime fee*. Overtime fees* may be waived on occasion, with the discretion rights reserved by the consultant.

**Consultation Fee and T&C for all Clinic Visits (First and Follow Ups) are following the regulations of Premier Health Clinic, Kogarah.

Cinta Mama Lactation FAQ

Where is Your Location (Area of Service)?

We are based in Dulwich Hill, NSW.

For clinic practice, I am located in Kogarah, NSW. Consultation with or without a referral is welcome.

For home visits, the main coverage area is within Inner West / Canterbury, NSW and surrounding suburbs. I travel within a 10km radius of Dulwich Hill NSW.

Home visits outside of the catchment often can be considered.

*Please text to first check your location and availability BEFORE making your booking. An additional travel fee will be charged $20 for every 10km radius away from the main coverage area, payable during or after the visit via bank transfer.

Virtual (via video or phone call) consultation with you is also an option, if you are located outside this catchment and/or anywhere in Australia.

Can I Claim Rebate for The Consultation Fee?

Consultation fee with Cinta Mama Lactation is NOT covered by Medicare.

Rebate is available based on your level of Private Health Insurance Cover. Please verify with your private health insurance provider to confirm coverage.

Currently, Inggita is registered as a Lactation Consultant Service Provider with Medibank Private, HCF, and BUPA: for both consultations during home-visit and clinic-practice (at Premier Health).

Our practice is organising with some others Private Health Insurance for clinic practice and home-visits Lactation Consultation provider.

Do You do a Weekend Consultation?

Weekend consultations' availability is situational and depends on a case-by-case basis, and only on Saturdays.

There is a 30% weekend surcharge for the session.

If you would like to have a weekend consultation, please get in touch with us directly to verify availability.

Booking for this session can be made ONLY via WhatsApp inquiry or a direct message to [email protected]. We will respond to your message within 1 working day.

A full payment upfront is required to confirm your weekend consultation booking and a payment link will be emailed to you to finalise the balance before the session is confirmed.

What is the Benefit of Breastfeeding / Lactation Consultation?

Considering Breastfeeding/Lactation Counselling with a Lactation Consultant IBCLC can be beneficial, whether during pregnancy and/or after giving birth.

Here are a few reasons:

1.EDUCATION and PREPARATION DURING PREGNANCY for expectant mothers and support people. This session helps in understanding breastfeeding: what is natural and normal, what challenges may happen and how to navigate, also an opportunity to ask questions and clarify breastfeeding myths, and to receive and be empowered by evidence-based information related to breastfeeding and early days. Equally important is to inspire support people to be mothers' and baby's advocates by knowing how to support mothers with their plans and goals.

2. HELP ADDRESS POTENTIAL CONCERNS (IF ANY), such as past experience of difficulties breastfeeding or other specific circumstances. Discussing these before birth can help to identify issues and plan personalised support to prepare before the baby is born. In medical-related cases, should you wish, your health professional could also be informed and involved for holistic support.

3. INDIVIDUALISED SUPPORT AFTER BIRTH, tailored to specific needs and circumstances of the new mother and baby. Consultations include history taking and thorough breastfeeding assessment, to identify the root cause of possible challenges/breastfeeding difficulties and develop personalised plan with practical tools and options to overcome them. In cases when further medical support is needed, the mother and/or baby would be referred to the appropriate health professional along with a letter explaining their current breastfeeding management and support.

4. EMOTIONAL SUPPORT AND ENCOURAGEMENT: Moments of transition from pregnancy, birth, to breastfeeding, can be emotionally intense for mothers. Consultations with Lactation Consultant offer empathetic listening, validation of mother's experience, also providing guidance and emotional support. This can help empower mothers to reconnect and trust her motherly inner instinct, which may improve mothers' sense of calm and confidence as she embarks on the journey of motherhood.
