Your First Session
It’s helpful to know what to expect after you book your lactation consultation and during your first session.
My goal is to provide guidance and support as you and your baby work towards your personal breastfeeding goals.
Here’s what you can expect and how to prepare:
- Booking Confirmation: After you complete your payment and your booking is confirmed, you’ll receive a confirmation email.
- Forms: The email will include two forms for registration and consent. Please read and complete them before your appointment to ensure a smooth start.
- Prepare Your Notes: It’s a great idea to write down any questions or concerns ahead of time, so we can make sure to cover everything during your session.
- During Your Appointment:
We will discuss your and your baby’s history, including your pregnancy, birth experience, and breastfeeding journey up to the appointment.
Assessing your baby's oral anatomy and tongue function as they relate to breastfeeding.
Observing you and your baby during breastfeeding and offering suggestions or adjustments as needed.
We will discuss strategies to support you and your baby, along with options for managing any breastfeeding challenges, including input from your support person with your consent.
The need for follow-up will depend on your individual situation and will be addressed at the end of the appointment.
5. Follow-Up Email: After your home visit or virtual appointment, you will receive an email within 24 hours containing your personalised breastfeeding management plan and your invoice/receipt.

Home Visit Lactation Consultation
First Lactation Consultation (90mins).

First consultations take longer as I aim to understand the detailed history of both you and your baby, covering everything from pregnancy to current challenges. We will also observe a thorough feeding observation and assist you with any questions or options for support.
*PLEASE NOTE: If your baby has older siblings, it’s helpful to have your support person keep them occupied during the session so we can focus on you and your baby’s needs.
Coverage Area: I offer home visits within a 10km radius of Inner West/Canterbury, NSW, and can travel further. For visits outside coverage, please refer to the FAQ below.
90-100mins First Home Visit - 330 $265*

Clinic Practice Lactation Consultation

A GP and medical support team are available, for cases that require procedures or prescriptions.
MON and FRI.

Follow-Up Lactation Consultation
Optional, after your First Consultation (Home Visit or In-Clinic).

The follow-up session provides additional support, answers further questions, and addresses any new challenges that may have arisen. We’ll reassess your progress, review current feeding concerns, and update your personalized breastfeeding management plan.
You can choose from the following options for your follow-up session: a home visit or virtual video/phone call (option available during booking), or an in-clinic visit*.

Short Discussion Call Consultation
Shorter Sessions (30 mins).
Via Video/Phone Call.
If you have breastfeeding questions that don’t need a full 60-90 minutes session, you can book a shorter discussion call.
This call will be scheduled on your chosen day between 10 AM and 4 PM. It’s best for clients who have already had their initial consultation with me, as it helps to address your concerns in the context of your breastfeeding history. New clients are welcome too, and we can decide if a longer consultation is needed during the call.

30 mins Short Discussion Call - $100

The Fee List above covers a session with duration of your choice: up to 30 minutes, or 60 minutes, or 90-100 minutes of consultation. The fee is to be paid during online booking to confirm your appointment.
Depending on your needs during the session, your total consultation time may vary, and sometimes may take longer. Additional time during the session may incur an overtime fee. Overtime Fee*: $50/15mins - Read FEE POLICY* here.
